Our first night anchored

It was a windless sail. We motored up to the Blue Water Bridge as many of you know the current is very strong under the bridge. We traveled up a ways and anchored off shore just north of Port Huron.

Bryce cooked us dinner on the grill it was very tasty.

Not sure why but I cannot sleep tonight.

Our next stop is going to be Harbor Beach

5 days to set Sail

This weekend we loaded the ice maker & washer and dryer.

Building Shelves for storage

Bryce is adding a removable shelve in the v-birth for extra storage. Yet, we can remove it in the event that we get visitors.

Our bikes store nicely under the shelve.

( AWESOME JOB HONEY )😘

My Cool Down

Sometimes when the weather is hot you just need a cool down. When we are under sail or power it gets stinking hot riding on the boat. So I had an idea that we should find a way to cool down and this is what I came up with.

Bryce put in a water pump that pumps the water from the lake into the pool. Now I can set and read my favorite authors book (Mind of Her Own) by Diana Lesire Brandmeyer

Preparing Beauty

We are working very diligently on getting ready for our new journey. Bryce hoisted up our new radar and got it working, our ASI is wonderful… I love being able to look at all the different vessels and seeing where they’re headed.  The following photos show Bryce working hard.

The two top photos are showing Bryce anxiously putting up the radar, and running up all the wires.

The third photo Bryce is running wires from hand radio to GPS that allows us to see the positions of freighters and other vessels through ASI.

We have a few more things to add to her: washer & dryer and we are putting in a shelf in the V-birth to store extra items like my swimming pool. Lol

I will update our post as we get things done.

Things we have to do to prepare for our journey

Well, some of you know Bryce had a Birthday so what else can you get but things for the boat. Our dinghy is over 20 years old so time to replace it.

The thought is to replace it with a lighter dinghy and a lighter motor,

With that thought in mind we decided to go with the dinghy that we could roll up and store away in a bag for long passages.

Hum.. I think he needs a motor mount too. Yes. He got one of those too for his new 3.5 Merc.

Have you ever noticed that a sailboat doesn’t come with the horn? I picked up a horn too.

This preparing just isn’t going to end for a bit. Will August ever arrive..,lol

Memorial Weekend

Saturday night at Metro Park celebrating we sold our motorhome. We also added a new Outhaul  line.  Then came home and put new autopilot on Beauty.
